The refreshed 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton which was showcased at this year’s Beijing Motor Show has now been launched in the Middle East.
Volkswagen’s flagship sedan now features a new base engine apart from a mildly revised exterior and spruced up interior. On the outside the 2011 Phaeton gains the new VW family grille, LED bi-xenon headlights, new front bumper and new LED taillights at the rear.
The sedan is now available in standard or extended wheelbase versions and comes with either five or four seats. It also features for the first time a Google map enabled navigation system.
The new Phaeton will be powered by a choice of three petrol engines as before but a V6 direct injection engine with 280bhp is now the new base engine. Other motors include a V8 with 335bhp and the range topping W12 with 450bhp of power.
